Cultured pearl the most amazing piece of jewelry

Pearls are produced within the carcass of oysters. Mollusk amasses deposit of nacre, an amalgamation of organic and crystalline substances, when the parasite or irritant enters inside its body. After a certain amount of time with nacre, building up in more layers, pearl is produced.
All of the pearls, which are sold around the world, are the cultured pearls and popular by different names including akoya seawater pearls and freshwater pearls.

The bead nucleating technology of forming cultured pearls was perfected and developed by Japan’s Kokichi Mikimoto in the early 20th century. Japan is popular for making akova cultured pearl however lately China became the top source of the cultured pearls i.e. akoya and freshwater pearls. The cultured pearls are used in the cosmetics and pearl jewelry and are usually in white colors and can be colored in different colors. Difference in the natural and cultured pearl cannot be made easily; dissimilarity becomes prominent only when seen via x rays. One must be careful about fake peals.
