Elegant and affordable cultured pearl earrings

Thanks to Japanese researchers who invented the science of cultured pearls. Pearl jewelries such as cultured pearl earrings have become quite affordable. Majority of the pearls sold nowadays are cultured pearls or those produced with human intervention because if people will wait for nature to produce pearls on its own, it can be a long wait.

Cultured pearl earrings although very affordable are still as elegant-looking as the more expensive types. It may be a pair or simple stud earrings or a dangling pair, the effect is simple but always stylishly elegant. No wonder, ordinary women to Hollywood celebrities surely have a pair of cultured pearl earrings.

Cultured pearl earrings go with just about any fashion style. They look fashionable with a casual getup of shirt and jeans as well as with a ballroom gown. They are very versatile and make a no-nonsense fashion statement that is suitable for any and every occasion or even without one.
Cultured pearl earrings can be made out of seawater or freshwater pearls. The more popular types are Tahitian, Mabe, Akoya and South Sea pearls. They all have the lustrous surface, thick nacre and come in a variety of colors, from white and gray to yellow and pink.

Pearl jewelries including cultured pearl earrings are now set or made in combination with other semi-precious stones or gems such as rubies, amethysts, jade or crystals. The more classic or traditional design is usually encrusted in gold, silver or even platinum. The choice entirely depends on personal tastes.
